Unlockables
PokéVoid has a deep unlock tree — game modes, items, and secret rewards are all gated behind progression milestones. This page documents everything that can be unlocked, how to unlock it, and what it does.
Game Modes
Modes unlock automatically when their condition is met at the end of a run. A notification screen plays when you earn a new mode.

| Gauntlet Nuzlocke | Complete the Nuzlocke Quest — given at the start. Fainted Pokémon are permanently lost. |
| Gauntlet Rogue | Available from the start. Draft 2 random Pokémon; reroll with ΩGOLD. |
| Gauntlet Nuzlight Rogue | Win 2 Nuzlight runs (or 2 Chaos Nuzlight runs of any length). |
| Gauntlet Nuzlocke Rogue | Win 2 Nuzlocke runs (or 2 Chaos Nuzlocke runs of any length). |
| The Void (Nightmare) | Defeat every rival trainer type at least once across your runs. A cutscene plays when the final rival falls. |
| Chaos Journey | Complete the Journey Unlock Quest and either win a Chaos Rogue run or win 3 total runs. |

Unlocking a new game mode also unlocks new items, abilities, and shop options that appear in all future runs.
Items
These items are locked until a specific in-game condition is met. Once unlocked they can appear in the reward pool permanently.

| Eviolite | Win any run while having a Pokémon in your party that can still evolve. |
| AnyXM (Luxury tier) | Unlock The Void Overtaken (see Secrets below). Requires Glitch Pieces to appear. |
Glitch Forms (via Rival Quests)
Glitch Forms are unlocked through the Rival Quest system rather than a direct progression gate.
- Defeat a Rival during a run — this unlocks a Glitch Quest for a specific Pokémon.
- Purchase the Quest from the OmegaShop (it appears randomly; reroll if needed).
- Complete the Quest objective during a run (e.g. defeating a certain number of Pokémon with a specific move type).
- The Glitch Form is permanently unlocked for that Pokémon in all future runs.
There are over 60 Glitch Quests, one per Pokémon. Examples:

| Hitmon Duo Win | Win a run with both Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan in your party |
| Scyther Trio Win | Complete the final 50 waves with only 3 Pokémon including Scyther |

Smitty Forms
Smitty Forms are unlocked differently from Glitch Forms — they require specific combinations of 4 Smitty Items applied to a Pokémon.
- Some forms require a specific base Pokémon (e.g. Rotom → Smitom)
- Others are Universal — any Pokémon can be used
When a new Smitty Form is unlocked, you receive a notification. Enter the form's console code to reveal its recipe. The Discord community maintains a list of known combinations.
Secrets
These are high-tier unlocks with special significance — earning them triggers unique cutscenes.
The Void Overtaken
How: Win a Nightmare (The Void) run for the first time.
Rewards unlocked simultaneously:
- The Void Overtaken status — permanent account flag, enables Luxury-tier AnyXMs in the reward pool
- Smitty Nugget — a special move/item
- Nugget of Smitty — a second special reward
- Many More Nuggets — grants the Reward Choices Plus ΩITEM (more items shown per shop visit)
A special story cutscene plays on first Void victory. The rewards above are only granted once.
Normal Effectiveness
How: Complete the hidden Normal Effectiveness Quest — activated via the bounty code W3K7P2. This quest involves knocking out Pokémon under specific conditions. Once completed it permanently changes Normal-type effectiveness in your runs.
Universal Smitty Form Unlocks
How: Rare chance during high-wave Nightmare runs (wave 300+) or upon defeating all Smitty trainer variants. A random Universal Smitty Form is unlocked — forms that can be applied to any base Pokémon.
Champions (Freed from the Void)
All Champions except Apollo and Diana start locked. Each requires collecting specific Essences to free them from the Void's corruption. Once freed, a Champion is permanently playable — but starts with an empty Pokémon collection and must be built up from scratch.
